As per IETE HQ guidelines (iete.org/iete-membership), the following categories of membership are offered:
For students pursuing a Diploma / Degree course in Engineering, Technology, or Science relevant to electronics, telecommunication and computer science.
For those who have passed the IETE Diploma/AMIETE examination or hold an equivalent recognised qualification in relevant engineering fields.
For graduate engineers (B.E./B.Tech or equivalent) with recognised qualifications and relevant professional experience in electronics/telecom.
For distinguished corporate members who have made significant contributions to electronics, telecom, or IT fields, elected by the IETE Council.
A special recognition/certification available to corporate members demonstrating professional competence and ethical practice.
For academic institutions, R&D organisations, and companies wishing to associate with IETE at an institutional level.
